I'm Ben Maclachlan, and I started Highlight Builders with one simple goal — to raise the standard of renovation.
With over a decade in residential construction, I've seen how renovations are done right and how they can go wrong. I started on the tools, learning every stage of the building process before moving into project management and eventually starting my own business.
I've worked on everything from architectural new builds to major renovations across Melbourne's southeast. That experience taught me that the difference between a good renovation and a great one isn't just skill — it's planning, communication, and care.
At Highlight Builders, I take a hands-on approach from first meeting to final handover. I'm not just the person you speak to at the start — I'm there throughout the entire build, ensuring every detail reflects the quality and reliability my clients expect.
